The department of zoology was established in1967 along with the inception of the college. It became a fully fledged independent department in 1969 when the B.Sc. zoology course was started.

To impart knowledge and skill in the area of animal sciences
To instill scientific temper and social awareness among students community

To know the nature and the creations which leads to the sustainable existence
